I was tagged to do this by Signourney over at A Dance With Books. Basically this tag involved finding books from my bookshelves which fit the prompts offered. I could not fulfill all the prompts, as there are some where I did not have a book that would fit but I will tell you those at the end, so that if the people I tag do have books that would fit the prompts that I’ve had to miss out, then they can include those prompts. I apologize if the quality of pictures aren’t very good, I took these with my IPod!
1. Find a book in the 10 categories listed below, take a photo or post the cover.
2. Tag the next victims.
3. Link back to Christy over at http://novelinkblog.com/
1. A Book With A Sunset
Usually I hate having the movie tie-in cover for a book, and if there had been a different cover choice in the WH Smith at the airport where I bought this book, then I would have bought that, but it actually worked out well for me in this case, because as you can see, there is a sunset in the background!
2. A Book With Water
I could have chosen a few books for this prompt, but I really like the cover of this one, so I decided to use this one. One of my favourite books in the Heroes of Olympus series (this and House of Hades are tied for first place, common theme-lots of Percy!).
3. A Book With A Flower
4. A Book With A Heart
Again, another one I thought I’d have difficulty with because I don’t read a lot of romance, but then I saw this book with the heart at the top of the cover, and thought it was perfect, especially since it’s quite a nice cover.
5. A Book With Gone in the title
6. A Book With a Moon
7. A Book With A Weapon
It was obvious to me as soon as I saw this prompt, that I would use one of the Throne of Glass books, and I chose this one, because it’s not only my favourite book of the series, but also my favourite cover.
The prompts I couldn’t do were a book with a girl in a white dress, a book with a couple kissing (a personal pet peeve of mine is covers like this, so I was never going to get one for that) and a book with headphones (kind of difficult I think). Of course if those people who I tag have books that fit these prompts, then feel free to do them.
As for tagging, I’m going to tag The Literary Counsellor, Maren @ The Worn Bookmark, Stephaniesbookreviews & Melanie @ A Self Proclaimed Bibliophile. Have fun you guys!
