Wishlist Wednesdays #4

Thanks so much for all the nice comments on my Top Ten Tuesday post, it means a lot to me that so many of you like this blog and I really love reading them. For my Wishlist Wednesday post this week, I’m going to write about one of my most anticipated new releases, the fourth and final book in The Raven Cycle, The Raven King. It was supposed to release in September, but Maggie Stiefvater recently posted that the release date has been pushed to February next year (sad!) due to her needing some extra editing time. I’m happy that she’s making sure we get the best book possible, but I’m really impatient! I just want to see how it ends already.

The fourth and final installment in the spellbinding series from the irrepressible, #1 New York Times bestselling author Maggie Stiefvater.

All her life, Blue has been warned that she will cause her true love’s death. She doesn’t believe in true love and never thought this would be a problem, but as her life becomes caught up in the strange and sinister world of the Raven Boys, she’s not so sure anymore.

In a starred review for Blue Lily, Lily Blue, Kirkus Reviews declared: “Expect this truly one-of-a-kind series to come to a thundering close”

I’m excited to read the finale of these series because I want to see how Gansey’s death and them finding Glendower actually plays out. We all know that Gansey is going to die, it has been foreshadowed from the first book, and it is likely that Blue is going to kiss him, because that’s been foreshadowed from the first book too. The two are linked, if Blue kisses her true love he dies, but it’s never been specified how and why this happens, so I’m interested to see that. I also want to see what Glendower as a character is like, because we’ve been teased about this guy from the first book, so I just want to see him now. I also never thought I’d say this, but after the last book, I’m really rooting for Ronan and Adam as a couple and would like to see where things develop there too! I just know this is going to be an epic finale, and it kills me that I have to wait almost another year to read it but one thing I am sure of, is that it will be worth the wait!

I will be back with another Wishlist Wednesday next week, but tomorrow is Thursday Quotables, so look out for that!
