Top Ten Tuesday #65

image

Hey everyone! I’m back with a new Top Ten Tuesday post this week, courtesy of the lovely ladies over at The Broke and The Bookish. This week’s prompt is Top Ten Facts About Me, be it, bookish, personal, whatever. I quite like this prompt since obviously to you guys, I’m just a book obsessed girl sitting behind a computer, so this week will hopefully be a little window into my life for you guys! Some of this will probably be stuff that I’ve used in awards posts before, since I don’t have extensive numbers of facts about my life to share with you guys! So here we go, some things you hopefully didn’t know about me and maybe some things that you do as well:

  1. My full name is Joanne (though I go by Jo), I wish I could say that it was after JK Rowling, but my parents just liked the name.
  2. My favourite movie is Moulin Rouge (and no it’s not just because of Ewan McGregor, though he does help), I’ve actually lost track of the number of times I’ve seen it by now (yes, it’s that many, I’ve seen it at least 4 times this year already, probably more). Come What May is my favourite song ever and I want to be my first dance song at my wedding, if I ever get married.
  3. I have never had a boyfriend. I’m only 19 though, so I’m not that bothered by it. I quite like being single!
  4. I am a big Taylor Swift fan, I love her music.
  5. I have never broken a single bone in my life (touch wood).
  6. I am obsessed with Dalmatians, have been since I saw 101 Dalmatians when I was a kid, and I really want one when I’m older.
  7. I have an older sister, her name is Katy, she’s 22.
  8. I love horses, I’ve been riding since I was 8 years old and aside from reading, it’s my favourite hobby. One of my dreams has always been to go from dude ranch to dude ranch across America, so maybe I’ll finally do that one day.
  9. I have two pets, a black Labrador called Otis (named after Otis Reading, I wish we could say that we named him, but the people that we got him from named him) and a ginger cat called Benjamin.
  10. I love Disney, my favourite Disney movie is The Lion King, but I also love Beauty and The Beast (I want that library!).
  11. I am a Hufflepuff, according to the Pottermore Sorting Quiz I took and a Thunderbird according to the Ilvermony Sorting test.
  12. I have been obsessed with Greek mythology since I was a kid and have always wanted to go to Greece. I’m planning a trip there for my 21st Birthday next year!
  13. I don’t really like classic books, they tend to bore me. There are a few exceptions to this, Black Beauty being the most notable one.
  14. I really don’t like kids and have no real desire to have any when I’m older.
  15. I love travelling! One of the things on my bucket list is to have been to at least one country on every continent of the world (I’ve only been to two so far, Europe and North America).
  16. I hate tea. Yes I know, a British person who doesn’t like tea, shocker!
  17. I was born in London (Lambeth to be precise) but I moved to Cambridge when I was 7.
  18. I am terrified of needles (this and my dad’s reaction if I did, is one of the main reasons why I’ve never got a bookish tattoo).
  19. I hate Chinese food. In fact, I’m not that keen on Asian food in general, aside from Indian, I love curry (as long as it’s not too spicy).
  20. I’ve been writing Glee fanfic since I was 15/16 ish, though I haven’t written much since starting Uni. I’m trying to get back into it over the holidays.
  21. My favourite of Lorelai’s boyfriends was Luke, my favourite of Rory’s was Jess (Gilmore Girls)
  22. Sex in books makes me uncomfortable.
  23. My favourite Friends couple is Mondler.
  24. My biggest celebrity crushes are Ryan Reynolds, David Tennant and Ewan McGregor.
  25. I hate team sports. I have bitter memories of being forced to play team sports at school, someone was always blamed when things went wrong, and that person was usually me.

I know, I went a lot over this week, but what can I say? Turns out I had more to share than I originally thought. I really liked this topic, I hope you guys feel like you’ve got to know me better through this and I can’t wait to read everyone else’s posts. Do we share any of these? What facts did you share this week? Do you have any questions for me, anything you’d desperately like to know bookish or otherwise? Let me know in the comments! Next week’s topic is Ten Books Set Outside of The US and I’m always looking for books with settings other than the US to read, so I’m hoping it will be a good week for recs! In the meantime, I will hopefully have a new Wishlist Wednesday post tomorrow, a review of my latest read A Darker Shade of Magic and a new discussion post at some point later on in the week, so stay tuned for all of that!

I’ve never broken a bone too (touch wood). Is that a common thing?
Greek myths are the best! I wished Phoebe and Joey had been a couple, they would have been my favorite. Haha.

    • iloveheartlandx 12/07/2016 / 6:00 pm

I don’t know, but I definitely know some people who haven’t. I feel like it’s better to not have than have? Yes they are! I would have liked Phoebe and Joey to be a couple too but I did like Mike.

      • Jamie Wu 12/07/2016 / 6:16 pm

It’s definitely better not to have. Haha.
Oh yeah, Phoebe and Mike were great. I can’t hate Paul Rudd.

  2. ChrissiReads 12/07/2016 / 6:24 pm

I love Beauty and The Beast and The Lion King. I do love The Little Mermaid and Aladdin too.

    • iloveheartlandx 12/07/2016 / 6:41 pm

Yes they are great! I’m sure I’ve watched both of those but I can’t remember if I liked them or not!

  3. Rain @ Ivyclad Ideas 12/07/2016 / 6:56 pm

*High-fives you because Monica and Chandler, and also because I too am a British person against tea in all its forms*

I’m 19 in a couple of days, and I’ve never had a boyfriend, and I’ve never broken any bones either.

Sex in books makes me uncomfortable too – I always feel like I should give the characters some privacy…;)

    • iloveheartlandx 12/07/2016 / 6:58 pm

*High five*. Well that makes me feel slightly less weird! Yeah same here 🙂

  4. Abby Elizabeth 12/07/2016 / 7:48 pm

I feel you on the boyfriend thing. I’m 18, and the only one I had started long-distance and ended before we could actually physically touch each other. I’m doing okay with being single though! And I’ve never watched Moulin Rouge, I’m starting to think that I should.

    • iloveheartlandx 12/07/2016 / 7:54 pm

It’s alright, we both have time! Yeah me too, it really doesn’t bother me much. I prefer hanging out with my friends anyway! You definitely should, it’s great 🙂

  5. lindseyhabets 12/07/2016 / 7:52 pm

Great list! YES to Moulin Rouge, Greek mythology, Disney and Mondler 🙂
Also: Gilmore Girls ❤ I also loved Luke and Jess the most of all the boyfriends and hope we get a happy ending somehow for them in the revival (which I'm super excited about!)

    • iloveheartlandx 12/07/2016 / 7:55 pm

Thanks! You have good taste 🙂 Me too! I’m so excited for the revival.

  6. Tracy (@Cornerfolds) 12/07/2016 / 8:09 pm

I didn’t have my first boyfriend until I was 19 either, so I totally feel you! There’s no shame in waiting until you’re ready! Dating is a pain. :/ I’m also really bored by classic books. The only ones I’ve really enjoyed are Lord of the Flies and Wuthering Heights!

    Here are my Top Ten!

    • iloveheartlandx 12/07/2016 / 8:30 pm

I’m quite happy at the moment, a lot of the guys I meet at uni are jerks and a lot of them drink way too much, so I’m quite happy to wait until I find someone I’m comfortable with! Yeah I barely ever find any I like. I’ve never read Wuthering Heights, but I wasn’t a big fan of Lord of The Flies.

  7. Greg 12/07/2016 / 8:27 pm

Good luck getting to Greece, that’s always been a bucket list item for me too since seeing the Greek islands in a movie as a kid. So beautiful there. And I have a hard time with classics too- as much as I want to read them, I often get bored. Can’t be helped. 🙂

    • iloveheartlandx 12/07/2016 / 8:40 pm

Thanks! Hopefully I will have enough money by next year to make my 21st birthday dream a reality! Yeah same here, they’re just not for me 🙂

  8. Diana Prince Reviews 12/07/2016 / 10:03 pm

Beauty & the Beast’s bookshelf is my life goal. The closest I’ve seen to that many books in one place was Trinity College Library, and the tour guide had to come back to get me because everyone else was on the bus and I was still mesmerized by the books. Also, Hufflepuff pride! ❤

    My TTT 🙂

    • iloveheartlandx 12/07/2016 / 10:08 pm

Yup mine too! Oh that would totally be me as well 🙂 Yes Hufflepuff pride! We are awesome 🙂

  9. AngelErin 12/07/2016 / 10:20 pm

I love Taylor Swift too! And I’ve also never broken a bone. Good to get to know the blogger a bit more behind the blog! 🙂

    • iloveheartlandx 12/07/2016 / 10:23 pm

She is awesome! Yeah I think so too, I mean I like to think that my blog is a reflection of me, but I don’t talk about my interests outside of reading much, so it’s nice to for once!

  10. Giselle 12/07/2016 / 10:43 pm

My favorite Disney movie is Beauty and the Beast 🙂 It’s such a good story. I’m really excited for the live action version that’s coming out next year

    • iloveheartlandx 12/07/2016 / 10:44 pm

I love Beauty and The Beast too, it’s my second favourite 🙂 Me too! I wish it was coming out sooner!

  11. readsinthefamily 12/07/2016 / 10:44 pm

Great list! And awww, Luke and Lorelai. I loved them so much. Can’t wait for the revival on Netflix!

  12. Jess (@LilBookHeaven) 12/07/2016 / 11:13 pm

Traveling is one of my bucket list dreams! Yes, The Gilmore Girls. I am so excited for the series to continue again. Great list, Jo and thank you for stopping by. 🙂

    • iloveheartlandx 12/07/2016 / 11:17 pm

Mine too! Same here, I am counting down the days until the revival releases! Thanks. No problem 🙂

  13. bluecloverdust 13/07/2016 / 12:04 am

I am not a classics fan either!

  14. Alicia @ A Kernel of Nonsense 13/07/2016 / 12:26 am

Yay for black labs (I’m totally bias)! The Lion King may be the best Disney movie ever made, but like you, I have a special spot for Beauty and the Beast as well.

    • iloveheartlandx 13/07/2016 / 2:06 pm

Ah fellow black lab owner? They are the best right! Yes, The Lion King is awesome but Beauty and The Beast will always be special to me as a bookworm.

      • Alicia @ A Kernel of Nonsense 14/07/2016 / 2:59 am

Yes, my black lab is awesome. She’s a super fast learner and really good with people (better than I am!). The library scene in B&B is magical.

      • iloveheartlandx 14/07/2016 / 9:27 pm

My dog loves people too, I think it’s a common labrador trait. Yes it is! I have been dreaming of that library since I was little girl…..alas, still dreaming!

  15. Amy 13/07/2016 / 12:43 am

Great list! I love Disney too and David Tennant is one of my favorite actors. 🙂

  16. KliScruggs 13/07/2016 / 1:21 am

I love Taylor Swift tooo! Have you heard her new single it’s so 🔥🔥🔥🔥🙌

  17. Cait @ Paper Fury 13/07/2016 / 1:52 am

I love posts about the bloggers behind the blog! It’s so awesome to get to know more about everyone, right?!? Also being single is wondrous. XD And I can’t stand Chinese/Asian food either. I mean, I do better with curries? But it must be very mild. 0_0 I’m just not a big fan of huge flavours ahhaha.

Thanks for stopping by @ Paper Fury!

    • iloveheartlandx 13/07/2016 / 2:03 pm

Yes it is definitely awesome to get to know more about everyone! Yup being single is awesome! Yeah me either, I do okay with curries but like you, it has to be very mild! I just can’t deal with spice! No problem 🙂

  18. Melanie Noell Bernard 13/07/2016 / 2:17 am

I’ve never had a boyfriend either (and I’m older than you) and there’s nothing wrong with that. Boyfriends are too much time. I had lots of learning and self-finding to do. :p

And I used to be deathly afraid of needles, too, but I have been overcoming this fear as of late. Talking to someone or browsing something on your phone helps a lot. ^.^

    My TTT

    • iloveheartlandx 13/07/2016 / 2:01 pm

Yup boyfriends do seem like they’re a lot of work! I don’t mind injections (I just don’t look) but I think a tattoo would be too long with a needle for me!

      • Melanie Noell Bernard 13/07/2016 / 3:30 pm

Haha! That’s a misnomer. Actually, tattoo needles are SUPER short. You can hardly see them because they’re not going into your vein, just under the first few layers of skin. ^.^ (Reference: My tattoo. :p)

      • iloveheartlandx 13/07/2016 / 3:56 pm

Maybe one day, if I can pluck up the courage to do so, I’ll get a tattoo!

  19. wingedcreature 13/07/2016 / 2:33 am

I am so excited about the Gilmore Girls revival. I too love Luke and Lorelei, and for long time, it was Logan and Rory, but now, I’m not sure! Needles freak me out, which is funny, because I work at a community health clinic (but I only deal with sending out medical records and filing all of the paperwork, so there is that). And I’m a huge Taylor Swift fan- I remember listening to 1989 on repeat for months when it came out. Thanks for stopping by my TTT!

    • iloveheartlandx 13/07/2016 / 1:55 pm

Me too! I think nearly all GG fans are Luke/Lorelai fans! I don’t mind Logan and Rory, but I prefer Jess and Rory. I suppose if you wee dealing with the paperwork and not the actual medical stuff, being freaked out by needles doesn’t seem so weird. Yeah me too, I hope she brings out some new music soon!

  20. Emma @ Awkwordly Emma 13/07/2016 / 3:01 am

I’m almost 20, and I’ve never had a boyfriend either. And yes to Taylor Swift and Gilmore Girls! Luke is most definitely the best.

    • iloveheartlandx 13/07/2016 / 1:52 pm

Yup I’m almost 20 too (I’ll be 20 in September) and not having a boyfriend has never bothered me! Yup they are great. Luke is the best 🙂

  21. greatexhortations 13/07/2016 / 3:02 am

Team sports were the worst! I love stories about teams, but I think it’s a concept I like more in theory than in practice.

My family used to have a dog named Oliver. I liked to pretend he was named for Oliver Twist, so I could name all my future pets with a Dickensian theme, but he was also named by his previous owners. Oliver and Otis are cute names, regardless!

    • iloveheartlandx 13/07/2016 / 1:46 pm

I agree! Yup definitely better in theory than in practice. Yes they are cute names 🙂

  22. wynd2796 13/07/2016 / 3:48 am

I love Disney movies too! It’s every bookish girl’s dream to have that library in Beautt and the Beast ( it certainly is my dream!) I have a fear of needles too, which resulted in me never getting my ears pierced.

    • iloveheartlandx 13/07/2016 / 1:45 pm

Me too! Yeah it definitely is every bookish girl’s dream to have that library! I actually did get my ears pierced but I don’t think I’ll ever go any further than that.

  23. Anjie @ Love thy Shelf 13/07/2016 / 4:28 am

Obsessed with Greek Myth too! Yay Percy Jackson! I’ve never had a boyfriend either … you don’t want to know how old I am haha but in all seriousness, I think that I would’ve messed up any relationship I was in lol I love Asian food but that’s also because I am Asian haha. I love Mondler! They were the cutest!! I feel uncomfortable reading sex scenes too, especially in YA books … I almost died when reading Court of Mist and Fury and Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. I just didn’t see it coming lol

    • iloveheartlandx 13/07/2016 / 1:40 pm

They are awesome! Love Percy Jackson 🙂 There’s more in life than having a boyfriend! Well then that makes sense. They were the cutest! Ugh same here! I haven’t read ACOMAF yet, but at least I’m more prepared for the sex aspect this time!

  24. Kate @ Fictional Thoughts 13/07/2016 / 5:40 am

Thunderbird is the coolest sounding house name. I got … I don’t even remember the name but it was scary sounding. I like that you’re happy being single. It’s much better to be happy alone than miserable in a relationship. And sex in books only makes me uncomfortable when I feel it’s gratuitous. Some authors seem to think they need a sex scene to get more readers. So not true. When it feels natural for the characters then I’m okay with it but otherwise it just doesn’t seem right to me.
Oh and Gilmore Girls! I’m currently rewatching it so I’ll remember everything when Seasons comes out. I agree with you 100%. Lorelei needed someone who would stand up to her and Luke was the only guy she dated who fit into her world and called her out on stuff. And Jess was great for Rory. I really hope she ends up with him. I’ll be upset if she gets with Logan…

    • iloveheartlandx 13/07/2016 / 1:30 pm

I think so too! Yeah Thunderbird was definitely the most normal sounding of the Ilvermony house names! Thanks, I totally agree! I think it just makes me uncomfortable because it feels like you’re walking in on something private! But I totally agree, if it’s there I’d rather it be there because it’s natural for the characters and not gratuitously. I’m currently rewatching it too! Yup Luke was perfect for Lorelai and Jess was perfect for Rory. So do I! I would be okay if she ended up with Logan but I’d hate it if she ended up with Dean.

  25. Carla @ Lipstick and Mocha 13/07/2016 / 7:09 am

I also really like Taylor Swift, her music is great! ❤
The library from Beauty and the Beast is perfection, I need that in my life as well 😛
Oh and #14 is basically me haha, and for some reason kids and babies seem to really like me, but I just flee if possible.

    • iloveheartlandx 13/07/2016 / 1:03 pm

I agree! Yes I think every book lover needs that library in their life! I flee if possible too but luckily the feeling between me and kids seems to be mutual, I don’t like kids and they don’t like me!

  26. Holly 13/07/2016 / 12:14 pm

I definitely share your fear of needles! I always faint whenever I have to get an injection. My parents never have to worry about me getting a tattoo haha 🙂

    • iloveheartlandx 13/07/2016 / 1:00 pm

Yup they are the worst! No I don’t think mine have to either 🙂

  27. Eve L (Evilous) 13/07/2016 / 3:46 pm

OMG I so want to visit Greece too so I hope your trip next year goes great! I want the library too! I love Chinese food and was thinking of getting some today lol but I’m also currently watching Gilmore Girls for the first time ever finally and I’m mid way through season 2 now so I just met Jess. I’m not a fan of sports either and while I don’t want kids of my own at any point I do love my friends kids (I get to be cool Aunty Eve) who I can play with and such but when I’m not in the mood I don’t go over 🙂 I also want to go to London…okay I want to go all over so I like your bucket list item I really want to work on my own.

    • iloveheartlandx 13/07/2016 / 3:59 pm

Thanks! I think every bookworm does 🙂 Yeah most people seem to, I’m just weird I guess! Ooh cool! I hope you enjoy it! Yeah, I like a few sports, but I’m not a major fan! I would definitely rather be cool Auntie Jo than a mum! London is awesome! Hope you get there some day 🙂

  28. Marci @ The Plot Bunny 13/07/2016 / 4:55 pm

    Hi Jo!
Yes…I definitely agree that Beauty and the Beast is awesome, and I also want that library. Are you excited for the live action movie coming out next year? I think casting Emma as Belle was perfect. I used to hate tea…but now I love it. I usually drink either very fruity ones or ones with chocolate in it. Do you prefer coffee since you don’t like tea? I love afternoon tea with the sandwiches and treats. It has been a dream of mine to learn to ride a horse for ages. I am hoping that I’ll be able to afford lessons in the near future. Thank you for stopping by over at my blog. Cheers!

    • iloveheartlandx 13/07/2016 / 5:03 pm

I think all bookworms want that library! Yes I am very excited for the live action movie! I agree, Emma Watson was a perfect casting choice for Belle. No I don’t like coffee either, I’m one of the weird people who likes neither. I drink hot chocolate! Horse riding is so much fun, I hope you manage to get to do it at some point. No problem!

  29. Lois 13/07/2016 / 6:46 pm

I’ve never had a boyfriend either, my book boyfriends are enough for me right now haha. I will never understand why society obsesses over people’s relationship status. As long as your happy it should’t matter. 😀 One Hundred and One Dalmatians had me wanting a Dalmatian as well. They’re just so adorable and if I ever were to get one, I’d have to call it Pongo or Patch haha.

    • iloveheartlandx 13/07/2016 / 8:14 pm

Yeah same here! I totally agree! I think it had every little kid wanting a Dalmatian. Well those are great names for dalmatians 🙂

  30. Stephanie 14/07/2016 / 5:08 am

I’ve never had a boyfriend either, and I’m almost 22. Blame it on my move for reading, but I believe if it’s meant to be, I’ll find the right guy at the right time! 🙂
I also love horses, but my mom is afraid of them, so I haven’t rode much, but I did help a friend feed her horses everyday after school for a few years and loved it. I love the idea of traveling to dude ranches across America! Perfect road trip idea ❤
I also love the Lion King and Beauty and the Beast (his library is heaven!) are my top two favorite Disney movies, but Mulan is a close third.

    • iloveheartlandx 14/07/2016 / 9:22 pm

Yeah I believe that too! My mum is afraid of horses too, luckily my dad is a big fan, so me and my sister have grown up around horses! Yeah it does sound like a great road trip doesn’t it? They’re my top two favourite Disney movies too. I’ve never actually seen Mulan, but my roommates from Uni love it, so that will be changing soon!

      • Stephanie 15/07/2016 / 11:44 am

I was told my dad loved horses too, but I never really knew him, so missed out on that. It’s funny though, when I am anywhere there are horses, I’ll wander off to a quiet place and just watch. So if anyone is looking for me, they always know I’m somewhere I can see the horses haha!
It really does! Although i love the idea of traveling across country anyways, it’s just an added bonus if you get to spend time around horses! XD
I love Mulan, and it’s really funny in parts. I hope you enjoy it too! 🙂

      • iloveheartlandx 15/07/2016 / 11:56 am

That’s a shame, but it’s nice that horses give you some kind of connection with your dad. Yeah I love the idea of travelling cross country, the horses would definitely just be an added bonus. Thanks, I hope so too 🙂

  31. fitkittymama 14/07/2016 / 6:47 am

Yay from a fellow Mondler fan! I never understood the Ross/Rachel obsession so many people had, but then again, I never liked Ross. And I’ve never gotten a bookish tattoo {or any tattoo} because I’m afraid of pain! My favorite Disney movie has always been Robin Hood {animated version of course}, something about those foxes makes me happy.

    • iloveheartlandx 14/07/2016 / 9:20 pm

There are lots of us out there! I liked Ross and Rachel too, but I preferred Mondler. Yeah I’m afraid of the pain too! I have never actually seen that one, I’ll have to get to it someday!

  32. Aimal @ Bookshelves & Paperbacks 14/07/2016 / 7:52 am

Sex in books creeps me out lmao. XD Unless it’s just glossed over, I feel its usually rather unnecessary. I love horses too. I think the love started after watching Lord of the Rings- they’re all so beautiful. T_T

    • iloveheartlandx 14/07/2016 / 9:17 pm

Yup me too! It does usually feel quite unnecessary. I haven’t actually seen the Lord of The Rings movies, but I’ve seen stills, yes the horses are all very pretty!

  33. Lindsay 14/07/2016 / 11:13 pm

I loved this week’s topic too! I did 10 general facts, and I thought for the next freebie week I might do some more eclectic/interesting things about myself. I struggle to show my personality through my blog, so this topic is a great way to move beyond books and knitting, which is what I usually talk about!

I am absolutely terrified of needles. In fact, I just had to go in for a blood test today and I was stressing about it two days ago! Even last night, my stomach was in knots thinking about it, and sitting in the waiting room this morning my hands were shaking and my heart was pounding so hard I could see my shirt moving! And yet, I have two tattoos! I tend to work up needle-related things way out of proportion in my head, and the blood test really didn’t even hurt. But I happily jumped in the tattoo chair without a care in the world! I guess it seems different since the tattoo needle isn’t really going that far into your skin? I don’t know… but I don’t think you should let your fear of needles keep you from getting a tattoo! Make it part of your birthday celebration! 🙂 What bookish tattoo do you have in mind? I’ve been wanting to get a tattoo of an open book with pages floating out that turn into v-shaped birds.

    • iloveheartlandx 14/07/2016 / 11:26 pm

Yes it was a great topic! I cannot deal with needles, one of the reasons I’ve never donated blood is because I can’t handle the thought of the needle! To be honest, my dad’s reaction to me getting a tattoo is probably scarier than the needle (he really hates them!). I’m not really sure, maybe a Book Thief inspired one, maybe a Harry Potter inspired one, honestly, I have way too many ideas, I have a whole pinterest board full of them!

*grins* I’m almost 19 and I haven’t had a boyfriend either. It’s about time I found a buddy in the same position…. LOL (well okay, if circumstances were somewhat different, I would probably end up dating someone somewhat older than me…).

    I’m a Thunderbird, too!

I’ve also never broken a bone either – I’ve twisted an ankle, but no more than that.

Also, I’m realizing we have more in common. Awesomesauce. 😀

Yay for being single! And hello fellow Thunderbird. Yeah same here, I’ve twisted my ankle before (several times) and sprained my wrist but never broken a bone (touch wood). Yay for having things in common!

Enjoy your youth without the boyfriend baggage!! Yup – I’m talking from experience here. I met my husband when I turned 30. We got married when I was 34. Very happily married and even happier that I didn’t waste time on “the-next-best-one”. I’ve also never broken any bones (touch that wood VERY hard), also love the Greek Mythology. Been to Greece for exactly that reason. There is a very old book “Mayhem in Greece”. See if you can find it. It is a fun story with a nice combination of the “legends”. Here’s Ten Things you probably did not know about me:http://marelithalkink.blogspot.co.za/2016/07/the-ten-wonders-of-me.html

Thanks, I definitely will! I’d like to have one someday but I definitely don’t want to settle for the next best thing 🙂 Oh that’s so cool that you’ve been to Greece. Thanks for the book rec, I’ll have to see if I can find it!

THE LION KING! THE LION KING! *dies*

I still sob like a five year old when Mufasa dies. ITS THE SADDEST THING IN THE WORLD. But this has legit been my favourite book and movie since I was five years old, and I still keep my original book!

    Lovely post!

I know, I think it’s still the saddest thing ever! It’s one of my favourite movies too! Thank you 🙂

So much of this is me! I was obsessed with Dalmatians when I was younger, and I still get especially dog-struck (you know what I mean!) when I see one now. I love Taylor Swift, hate tea, and also have a difficult relationship with classic novels…

Yay for having things in common! Yes I know what you mean by getting dog struck 🙂

I recognized myself in so many of these facts! Taylor Swift is such a wonderful artist, I’m honestly really disgusted by how she’s being dragged down in the media right now. NO ONE deserves that.

Glad to hear we have things in common! I know! The media has such little respect for people’s privacy, it’s ridiculous.
