Wishlist Wednesdays #6

Thank you for all the lovely comments on my Top Ten Tuesday post, I’m really enjoying doing these! I’m back with another Wishlist Wednesday for you all, the topic of today’s Wishlist Wednesday is a very new release, Jodi Picoult and her daughter Samantha Van Leer’s new book Off The Page which is a sequel to Between The Lines.

imageFrom #1 New York Times bestselling authors Jodi Picoult and her daughter and co-writer, Samantha van Leer, comes OFF THE PAGE, a tender and appealing romantic YA novel filled with humor, adventure, and magical relationships.

Sixteen-year-old Delilah is finally united with Oliver—a prince literally taken from the pages of a fairy tale. There are, however, complications now that Oliver has been able to enter the real world. To exist in Delilah’s world, Oliver must take the place of a regular boy. Enter Edgar, who agrees to take Oliver’s role in Delilah’s favorite book. In this multilayered universe, the line between what is on the page and what is possible is blurred, but all must be resolved for the characters to live happily ever after. Includes twelve full-color illustrations, and black-and-white decorations throughout.

Full of humor and witty commentary about life, OFF THE PAGE is a stand-alone novel as well as a companion to the authors’ bestseller Between the Lines, and is perfect for readers looking for a fairytale ending. Fans of Sarah Dessen and Meg Cabot are sure to appreciate this novel about love, romance, and relationships.

At this point, I basically devour pretty much anything with Jodi Picoult’s name on it, unless the subject matter really doesn’t interest me. I love fairytale like stories, and I really enjoyed the whole story within a story concept in the first book, so I’m hoping there will be more of that here. Whilst the last book was a little heavy on the romance for my liking, and Delilah wasn’t my favourite character in the world, the writing was gorgeous and the illustrations were great, and I’m sure I can expect the same thing this time around. I liked that Between The Lines was bookish escapism at it’s finest and I’m sure that I can expect the same here. Plus I’m a sucker for a good fantasy, so you can bet that I’ll love something like this. I just can’t wait to dive right into this book!

I will have another Wishlist Wednesday for you next week, but tomorrow I will have a new Thursday Quotables post, so look out for that.
