Wishlist Wednesday #39

Hi everyone! What’s this you ask? Do our eyes deceive us? Is this really a lesser spotted Wishlist Wednesday in the wild? Why yes, yes it is! I’m going to stop promising you all that I’ll do these things weekly when I never stick to it and instead just say that you’ll see a lot more of these this summer…..if I remember! There are loads of great books releasing in the Autumn though, so I should have no shortage of material. I’m going to start my newly rebooted, first of 2017 Wishlist Wednesdays, with one of my most anticipated upcoming releases, the next instalment of the Throne of Glass series, Tower of Dawn:

31450852Now I’m not going to lie. I hate this cover. It burns me so much that this is not going to match the rest of the series. I can live with Assassin’s Blade being blue rather than white, because that is one awesome cover and the bright blue goes really well with the white, and it’s still the same style of cover. Seriously? How hard was it to do a white cover, just with Chaol on the front instead of Aelin? Sorry, rant over, I just have many feelings about mismatching covers. Anyway, I was a little disappointed when I found out Chaol’s novella was going to be a novel, simply because I’m not a huge fan of his and I would much rather be getting the TOG finale this year than this, but I’m still definitely looking forward to reading this. It will be interesting to read a TOG novel that isn’t in Aelin’s POV for one thing and see how SJM deals with that. I also cannot wait to see the Southern Continent as we have never seen it before, so that will be really cool. Plus Yrene from Assassin’s Blade is returning and that will be awesome, I can’t wait to see what she’s been up too. Even though I don’t love Chaol, it did feel like something was missing without him there in Empire of Storms, so it’s nice to get to see what he’s been up to whilst Aelin and the gang are away. I’m still far more excited for TOG 7 but at least this book means I won’t have to go a year without my TOG fix!

I don’t know if I’ll have a Wishlist Wednesday for you guys next week or not, I hope so, but it depends on how busy I am. In the meantime, I just finished Daughter of Smoke and Bone, so I will have a review of that up in the next few days hopefully!
