Top Ten Tuesday #101

1fe45-toptentuesday

Hey everyone! I hope you’ve all had a good week since my last one of these, I had a pretty good rest of the week last week, although today, for various reasons which I won’t go into has been rather stressful! Still, I’m back and courtesy of the wonderful ladies from The Broke and The Bookish, I have another Top Ten Tuesday post for you! This week’s topic is a fandom based freebie, you can choose any fandom based topic that you like. Now since I probably talk about my book related fandoms a lot, and I have a feeling that regular readers of the blog will probably know all the book fandoms I am a part of, I think I’ll take today to talk about the other loves of my lives, the TV show fandoms that I’m a part of. TV is as much a part of my life as reading, so it will be great to share with you guys what I loved to watch. Here are my Top Ten TV Fandoms:

  1. Friends-I don’t know if there’s a specific name for fans of Friends (as with some of my other fandoms) but I love the show, have watched all of the episodes multiple times and can quote pretty much every single one from start to finish (I’m not ashamed).
  2. Gilmore Girls-Ah one of my other loves. I’ve watched all seven seasons multiple times and whilst the revival was not quite what I expected I still really enjoyed it. Along with Friends, this is probably where the most TV show quotes that somehow end up in every day conversations I have with my friends come from!
  3. Heartland-Lesser known but there’s still a pretty faithful group of Heartlanders out there! I loved the books when I was younger, and having the TV show now that I’ve grown up has been amazing, especially since I think the show is even better than the books were.
  4. Gossip Girl-Another older show, but it was one of my favourites when I was a younger teen and I still remember the fandom shipping wars (in fact I feel like this show may have been my introduction to shipping?) particular over who Blair was going to end up with. Still love rewatching this one on Netflix!
  5. Pretty Little Liars-One of my current faves. Cannot wait for the last season to resume in a few weeks!
  6. Merlin-Wasn’t Merlin the best show? Like Arthur and Merlin are bromance goals (or romance goals depending on whether you ship them as an OTP or a Brotp), there’s magic and dragons and hot knights.
  7. Nashville-NASHIES! We are pretty awesome fandom, after all, we brought our show back from the dead (cancelled/dead same deal).
  8. Sherlock-This show is just awesome and the fans are equally so.
  9. Once Upon A Time-I only got into this show last year, but I do love the show and the fandom, it’s very fun on clips watching the Captain Swan and Swan Queen shippers fight!
  10. The Big Bang Theory-I just love this show and the fandom.

That’s all I have for this week! What TV shows do you love? Are we a part of any of the same fandoms? What TV shows do you think I should watch (always up for recs!)? Let me know in the comments!

I will be back with a new Top Ten Tuesday next week, it’s Top Ten Most Unique Books I’ve ever read, so I guess I’ll have to get to looking through what I’ve read and see if anything counts as unique! I know I said I’d do a Thursday Quotables last week and I didn’t deliver, but I will try to get a new one up for you soon I promise, I have tons of A Conjuring of Light quotes that I’m dying to share! This week’s kind of a busy one for me, so I’m not sure if you’ll be hearing much from me aside from this (and all the stuff I posted over the weekend) but stay tuned because you never know!

Thanks! Same here, although yes, slightly sad there’s only 10 episodes left. I know, I read your post, it was awesome 🙂

  1. littlebookynook 05/04/2017 / 12:05 am

I love Friends!!!! It is my all-time favourite show. I have watched every single episode a thousand times, I pretty much watch it all the time!!!! I actually don’t understand how anyone could dislike this show…but there are some wierdos out there haha!

I tried Gilmore Girls…wasn’t a massive fan of Rory of Lorelai. I will have to try Merlin because I have never watched it before. Awesome list!!

    • iloveheartlandx 06/04/2017 / 2:20 pm

Me too! Yeah same here. I don’t either, I guess some people are just odd! Ha ha fair enough, they are kind of an acquired taste. Oh you definitely should, it’s a brilliant show. Thank you 🙂

  2. Melanie @ Bookmarked Bliss 05/04/2017 / 12:33 pm

You’ve got some great shows on here! Friends is my all time favourite show, like you I can (and do!) quote all the episodes and have seen every episode more times than I could even try to count.

    • iloveheartlandx 06/04/2017 / 2:19 pm

Thanks! Yes it’s one of mine too. Ha ha glad I’m not alone in that one 🙂

  3. Emma Lahey 05/04/2017 / 2:19 pm

Gosh, The Big Bang Theory is so great! (Kinda forgot about that one to be honest). Merlin was also awesome!

  4. Kitty 05/04/2017 / 2:23 pm

Oh my goodness, FRIENDS! Absolutely love that show and it’s so great cos MTV is doing a thing now running the episodes during the week around dinnertime. :3 I really need to pick up the complete blu-ray set though so I have it all the time!

    • iloveheartlandx 06/04/2017 / 2:18 pm

Me too! I used to watch reruns of the episodes during the week, but they’ve moved to Sky now, which I don’t have. Yes, I need to get around to getting all the DVDs too!

  5. notimefortinybookshelves 05/04/2017 / 2:33 pm

GOSSIP GIRL! I was late to the game on this one, I recently started and finished the entire series in about a month. It really consumed my entire life, and I’m madly in love with Chuck Bass. Also a huge fan of PLL, though I have gotten quite frustrated with the series throughout the seasons. I’m really hoping that when it picks back up that the end of the series doesn’t disappoint. I’ve been hearing great things about Nashville, I may look to make this my next binge 🙂

    • iloveheartlandx 06/04/2017 / 2:17 pm

Yes it’s awesome! Such a bingeworthy show. Ha ha everyone’s madly in love with Chuck Bass, anyone who says they aren’t is lying 🙂 Yes PLL can be quite frustrating at times. I’m also hoping the end of the series is good. Oh you definitely should, such an addictive bingeworthy show!

  6. Literary Feline (Wendy) 05/04/2017 / 3:01 pm

Great list! I watch more TV than is probably good for me. 🙂 Sherlock is pretty awesome. That one almost made my list. I used to watch The Big Bang Theory and then I stopped. I’m not sure why. I think the drop off was around the time my TV watching plummeted and I was watching mostly Disney Jr. and Sprout. I should get back into it. It’s a fun show. I really like Friends too. I didn’t watch it much when it was on the air, but once it came out on DVD, my husband and I binge watched the series.

I’m trying to think ahead about next week’s post too and may end up tweaking the theme to make it a bit easier for me. We’ll see. I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

I hope you are having a great week!

    • iloveheartlandx 06/04/2017 / 2:13 pm

Thanks! Ha ha yes, me too. Yes it is pretty awesome. I don’t love the later seasons of Big Bang quite as much as some of the early ones, but it’s still pretty funny. Yes Friends is awesome. Oh I didn’t watch it when it first aired, I was too young, I used to watch the reruns on E4 though. Yes, I think I’m going to have to find some kind of twist to make it a bit easier, unique is such a vague topic! Yes I am thanks, I hope you are too 🙂

  7. Jessica 05/04/2017 / 3:09 pm

Yes! This is a fantastic list! I didn’t have Gilmore Girls and Gossip Girl on mine, but I love them too!

  8. sanneinbookland 05/04/2017 / 3:16 pm

What a great list. I love all of these shows also.

  9. Amanda @ Veni, Vidi, Legi 05/04/2017 / 3:29 pm

Gossip Girl!! Can’t believe I didn’t include that in my fandoms, Blair Waldorf is goals. Also Nashville & Big Bang Theory ❤ ❤ ❤

  10. loisreadsbooks 05/04/2017 / 3:39 pm

How could I forget the Sherlock fandom in my list!!

  11. Heather Anne 05/04/2017 / 4:40 pm

Oh man. I really miss Merlin! This is a good list 🙂

  12. Birdie 05/04/2017 / 4:44 pm

oh! I love that you have Nashville on your list! I love that show so much and definitely did my part to get it brought back. 😀

    • iloveheartlandx 06/04/2017 / 2:07 pm

Yes it’s one of my favourite shows! Awesome, as did I. So glad we actually succeeded 🙂

      • Birdie 06/04/2017 / 2:21 pm

        Me too!

  13. ravishingtales 05/04/2017 / 4:45 pm

I’ve never heard of Heartland. It’s adapted from books? I guess I have to check it out!
The OUAT fandom is always fighting over the ships! There are just so many ships (which always include Emma Swan) and if I have to be honest, I am still undecided on Swan Thief (hopeless) or Captain Swan (happening?)!

    • iloveheartlandx 06/04/2017 / 2:06 pm

Yeah, very loose adaptation though, you don’t need to have read the books! Haha yes we do. I’m not sure if I’m as invested in the ships as most people seem to be. Yes Swan Thief is hopeless at this point (though I kind of liked them at the time). Captain Swan does seem to be on right now but you never know!

  14. Elen @ The Dragon Reader 05/04/2017 / 5:11 pm

Merlin is definitely the best show! And Gilmore Girls is wonderful too – I’ve only joined the fandom recently, and I can’t believe I missed out on such a great show for so many years.

    • iloveheartlandx 06/04/2017 / 2:02 pm

Yes it is! That’s the great thing about Netflix, people can join fandoms years after the show is over. Never too late to become a fan 🙂

  15. Shaz 05/04/2017 / 5:44 pm

    Merlin is brilliant!

  16. ChrissiReads 05/04/2017 / 7:10 pm

I loved Friends and Gossip Girl. Great shows!

  17. Jane @ Greenish Bookshelf 05/04/2017 / 8:15 pm

Gilmore Girls forever!! I’m working my way through the series right now. I’m in the beginning of season 6 which breaks my heart every time but I still love the show so much!! 🙂

    • iloveheartlandx 06/04/2017 / 1:59 pm

Yup it’s the best! Ooh no, season six is tough! Hey at least you know it gets better 🙂

  18. Beth (Reading Every Night) 05/04/2017 / 8:55 pm

Great picks for this week. I am definitely part of the Friend fandom, then again who isn’t right? And oh I loved Merlin as well, I was so disappointed when it ended up being cancelled after five seasons!

    • iloveheartlandx 06/04/2017 / 1:58 pm

Thanks! I don’t know, haven’t met many people who don’t like it. Me too, they could have gone for years more!

  19. thebookishlibra 06/04/2017 / 12:33 am

I can’t believe I forgot to put The Big Bang Theory on my list. I love that show so much! Great list!

    • iloveheartlandx 06/04/2017 / 1:57 pm

Ha ha there’s always one that slips through the cracks. Me too! Thanks 🙂

  20. Bianca @ The Ultimate Fangirl 06/04/2017 / 1:32 am

Friends, Sherlock, OUAT, and The Big Bang Theory yeeeeeeeeees. I’m a proud member of those fandoms, too!

I want to keep tabs on some the tv fandoms you listed in here because they all sound so awesome and I want to be a part that fandom as well. That’s how great your list is. ❤

    • iloveheartlandx 06/04/2017 / 1:56 pm

Yay! Great to find fellow fans of those shows. Well thank you, these are all great shows, I hope you enjoy them if you try them 🙂

  21. Annemieke 06/04/2017 / 9:32 am

BBC Merlin was amazing. I was so sad that it ended and how it ended.

    • iloveheartlandx 06/04/2017 / 1:55 pm

It was. Yeah me too, those last two episodes were killer 🙂

  22. Grace @ Rebel Mommy Book Blog 06/04/2017 / 11:34 am

Gilmore Girls was my topic today 🙂 I loved Friends so much and think it still holds up. Also big Bg Bang fan. Great list!!

  23. mettelray 06/04/2017 / 3:20 pm

I’m such a sucker for Nashville, I can’t even… I like it a lot! And now I’m worried for the show because they dropped such a huge bomb this season, and I feel like they are wasting Will’s potential and I just jave so many feelings about it! There are a few shows I could mention as my past fandoms but Nashville is the only one I’m currently apart of.

    • iloveheartlandx 06/04/2017 / 3:27 pm

Me too! I’m quite interested to see where things go next actually, I think they’ve opened up a lot of interesting storylines for the season. Yes, I agree, Will should definitely get more screen time, he has one of the best voices on the show!

      • mettelray 06/04/2017 / 3:34 pm

I know right!? And not just in terms of his voice but his character development as well. I was so proud of him when he decided to break up with Kevin because the relationship was moving too fast for him. And then they literally showed him 5 episodes later in a new relationship.. like, what the hell. It’s not that I don’t like the relationship but it was so rushed. :/ (Clearly I have too many feelings and thoughts about this show in my mind and you’re the first person I’ve come across who watches Nashville 😀 , so sorry to dump them all here :D)

      • iloveheartlandx 07/04/2017 / 9:33 am

Yes, they were doing so well with his character development and it seems to have kind of stalled this season, I don’t know if that’s because of the change of network. I think I might like their relationship, given time, but I agree, it was totally rushed. Ha ha no worries, if you ever want someone to talk Nashville with, I am perfectly happy to!

  24. Bonnie @ For the Love of Words 06/04/2017 / 3:29 pm

Oooh I’m a big Gilmore Girls fan too. 🙂 And Friends! So I only started watching it… for the first time ever… last year. But I love it. Better late than never? Lol I’m still in season 6.

    • iloveheartlandx 07/04/2017 / 9:36 am

Awesome! Really? Well it’s great you’ve started watching it now. Ooh I love Season 6, one of my favourites 🙂

  25. Lynn 06/04/2017 / 5:25 pm

Great list! Merlin really was amazing! I haven’t heard of Heartland before, I’m going to check it out though!

  26. lindseyhabets 06/04/2017 / 5:45 pm

So many great shows! I ADORE Gilmore Girls and Sherlock, but I also loved Friends, Gossip Girl and Once Upon A Time.

  27. Jamie @ Book Pandamonium 06/04/2017 / 8:36 pm

Great shows – especially Gilmore Girls and Friends!! I could keep rewatching them and never get bored. I’ve been meaning to watch Heartland as well, but the fact that it has so many seasons made me push it back. I definitely need to start it!

    • iloveheartlandx 07/04/2017 / 9:28 am

Thanks! Oh yes, I could do that too. Heartland is so good, and they are slightly shorter seasons than US seasons, it’s 18 episodes per season (except 1 which only has 13), so it’s not quite as much of a time commitment as a US show with the same number of seasons.

  28. @CzarFancypants (@NotTeefus) 06/04/2017 / 10:26 pm

I’m thinking I should check out a few of the shows you mentioned that I’ve never watched as I’m a major fan of half the shows on your list.

  29. Adria (RomReviews) (@adria_r) 07/04/2017 / 7:01 am

Oh I’m a recent Sherlock fan myself. It’s genius! My sister gets on my case to watch Once Upon a Time but I haven’t had time and they’re so far along I’m not sure I could just jump in and “get it” like the die hard fans. I actually tend to watch much older shows for some reason. Some of those shows went off air before I was even born! Lol.Thanks for stopping by my blog!

    • iloveheartlandx 07/04/2017 / 9:26 am

Yes it is! Haha it is a big commitment, but it’s worth it 🙂 It is nice watching older shows sometimes, you don’t have to wait for new episodes! No problem 🙂

  30. Olivia 07/04/2017 / 11:21 am

So many fandoms on this list that I love haha. Oh Gossip Girl and Pretty Little Liars and I’ve never got into Heartland but maybe I should? It sounds like a great feel-good show. Gilmore Girls and Friends, obviously, watched it all, several times 😀

    • iloveheartlandx 07/04/2017 / 12:54 pm

Clearly you have good taste 🙂 Yes Heartland is a great feel good show. Of course, who hasn’t really?

  31. Hannah Brown // SPW 07/04/2017 / 8:43 pm

Aww man I loved Heartland! I read all of the books so many times but the show wasn’t broadcast in the UK so I shall have to properly catch up on Netflix sometime… 😛

    • iloveheartlandx 08/04/2017 / 9:52 pm

Me too! Oh you definitely should, the show is very different but imo even better than the books!

  32. Adri 07/04/2017 / 11:53 pm

I can’t believe I forgot to put Friends and Pretty little liars on my list! I love those shows (PLL less so than Friends). I never get tired of re-watching Friends ❤

    • iloveheartlandx 08/04/2017 / 9:50 pm

Ha ha there are always some that fall through the cracks! Me too 🙂 Oh neither do I!

  33. exploringallgenres 08/04/2017 / 3:34 pm

Great list! I can’t believe I forgot to put Heartland on my list! I absolutely love that show!

    • iloveheartlandx 08/04/2017 / 9:41 pm

Thanks! Really? That’s awesome (that you love it), I don’t meet enough people who also love Heartland!

  34. Julianne 09/04/2017 / 12:39 pm

I love OUAT and Gilmore Girls – but I was so bored by episode three of the revival I still haven’t watched episode four!

    • iloveheartlandx 09/04/2017 / 10:04 pm

Me too! Oh episode 3 is not the best, but 4 is better.

  35. Darlene 09/04/2017 / 1:33 pm

I watched the Friends series, and I am also a fan of Once Upon A Time. Have you watched Emerald City? It’s a bit dark but I like that one, too.

    • iloveheartlandx 09/04/2017 / 10:00 pm

No I haven’t. Will have to check it out, thanks 🙂

  36. Hannah Courtney 09/04/2017 / 4:40 pm

I honestly feel like us Pretty Little Liars fans are incredibly patient and impatient and untrusting at the same time because they made us wait to long to find out who A is after how many times they teased it?!? and then when we did find out who A was there was another Uber A!!!!!!! But I can’t stop watching.

  37. Rissi Cain 11/04/2017 / 3:04 am

YAY for the GG shout out! I only recently (last year or two) discovered it, and have found it to be a real gem. Finally finished the original show, so now I have to watch the revival. 🙂

“Heartland” is one I’ve been curious about. I’ve seen parts here and there when flipping around on the TV on a Saturday afternoon, but don’t think I’ve seen a whole episode.

Also, “Sherlock” = AMAZING! Love that show.

Thanks, as always, for visiting Finding Wonderland last week.

    • iloveheartlandx 11/04/2017 / 1:39 pm

Yeah GG is the best! Hope you enjoy the revival. Oh it’s a really good show, you should definitely check it out. Sherlock is awesome yes! No problem 🙂

  38. Chrystal 19/04/2017 / 11:34 am

Wow great list! Gilmore Girls is at the top of mine. And then I’d have to pick Big Bang and Pretty Little Liars (still need to finish a few seasons of this one). And I watched season one of OUAT but haven’t gotten back to it as I’ve been bingeing Supernatural!

    • iloveheartlandx 19/04/2017 / 9:07 pm

Thanks! Yes Gilmore Girls is great. My friends love Supernatural but I’m kind of intimidated by it because there are so many seasons.

  39. tvshows127 15/06/2017 / 3:57 pm

I love Gilmore girls, PLL, Heartland and I’m currently watching the Big bang theory. I’ve tried some of the others and i’m not a big fan, I guess it’s just up to your personal opinion! Aha 🙂

    • iloveheartlandx 17/06/2017 / 8:25 pm

Oh cool! Fair enough we can’t all like the same stuff!
