Hey everyone! This is my last Top Ten Tuesday post as a teenager as my 20th birthday is in 6 days! 6 days! (Sorry I’m a little excited can’t you tell). As you’re reading this, I will be on my way to Scotland, heading back to Stirling for my second year of Uni and I’m really excited, for my birthday and for seeing my Uni friends again and moving into my new accommodation. But I’m also really excited about all the TV shows returning this autumn as it means new seasons of all my favourite shows! As you might have guessed, this week we are taking a break from books and talking about TV, with a TV themed freebie. The topic I’ve chosen is Top Ten Shows I’m Looking Forward To Returning. I love TV and these are some of my favourite shows (I have used the US/CAN dates as I have no idea when any of my favourite shows return here because UK TV is so far behind but I digress):
- GILMORE GIRLS REVIVAL-Nov.25-Okay as you can tell by the all caps, I am seriously excited about this. Like seriously. I love Gilmore Girls, it’s one of my favourite shows but I was really bummed by the way Season 7 ended, so I’m really happy that the show is being revived on Netflix and it will be given a chance to end properly after all this time!
- The Big Bang Theory-Sept.19-I love TBBT and am really excited to see what Season 10 has in store. Fingers crossed that this is the season where Sheldon finally proposes to Amy!
- New Girl-Sept.20-I am really looking forward to seeing where this is going after the end of Season 5. Season 5 wasn’t my favourite season, but the end was really good, so I’m looking forward to seeing where it goes next.
- How To Get Away With Murder-Sept.22-Season 2 of HTGAWM was seriously explosive so I can’t wait to see wait happens in Season 3 especially after some of the big reveals of the finale.
- Once Upon A Time-Sept.25-One of my newest TV show obsessions. Yes I binged the entire 5 seasons in a matter of weeks. No I don’t regret it. Yes I am hugely excited to see what Season 6 has in store.
- Heartland-Oct.2-As you can tell by my wordpress username, Heartland is one of my favourite shows and Season 9 was the best season yet, so I can’t wait to see what Season 10 has in store especially after that Season 9 finale.
- Jane The Virgin-Oct.17-OMG that Season 2 finale! I need to know what happens. NOW! I NEED TO KNOW! In all seriousness though, I love Jane The Virgin, it’s funny, sweet and perfectly fills the Ugly Betty shaped hole in my life. It’s such a creative, wonderful show and I really love it.
- Nashville-Jan.5-I am so happy this is returning! It seemed like it wasn’t going to for a while but luckily CMT saved it, so my favourite country music drama is not dead after all! Yay!
- Sherlock-Jan 2017-No exact date as to when this is returning yet but it will be some time in January. All I can say is…..Finally! I have never ever had to wait this long for a show before.
- Pretty Little Liars-April 2017-Okay yeah, I know the last episode only just showed this week, but after that ending I need it back. NOW. WHY MUST APRIL BE SO FAR AWAY?????
That’s all for this week, what do you know, I actually did manage to keep it to ten! What TV related topic did you choose for your freebie? Do you watch any of these shows? Are you excited for their returns? What TV shows are you excited to see come back this autumn? Let me know! Next week’s topic is All Time Favourite Books of X Genre, which is a mean topic as I hate having to choose all time favourite books, but since I love Fantasy, I’ll go with all time favourite Fantasy books.
OK we are clearly TV-twins because I have FOUR of these on my list this week too! I would have totally put PLL on except since it’s not coming back until April I left it off. So that makes 50%. So I guess we are fraternal twins. 😉 GREAT LIST! And I can’t wait to see GG!!
Yay for having TV shows in common! Yeah I wasn’t going to but I was struggling to think of a tenth! Thanks 🙂 Oh me either, I’m so excited!
I still need to watch the last two episodes of PLL. I am sad that next summer will be the last. Such a fun show!
I hope you enjoy them! Yes, me too.
YES, GILMORE GIRLS (totally deserves all caps) 🙂 so looking forward to that one too!
Once Upon A Time is on my list as well!
I’ve watched and loved New Girl, Jane The Virgin and Nashville, but I’m seriously behind on each of them (like more than a season behind). Hope to catch up sometime soon though!
Yes it does doesn’t it? Ah cool! All great shows, I hope you manage to catch up soon!
Happy birthday! Great list- I like New Girl although I’m very behind and Once Upon A Time is great but I need to catch up one that one as well.
Thanks, it’s on Monday! Thanks. Ah don’t worry, you have time!
I definitely need to watch Gilmore Girls. So many people have mentioned it today.
You really do! It’s such a great show 🙂
Big Bang & New Girl are some of my favorites, too! I love comedies.
My TTT.
Same here!
Love Big Bang theory and new girl . Great list 😁
Yes, such great shows! Thanks 🙂
Yes! I’m so excited for GG to come back! But, HTGAWM and New Girl need to get here yesterday, I miss my shows!
Me too! Yes, I miss them too 🙂
I tried to stop watching PLL, but I just couldn’t stop and now I have to finish the series.
Yup it’s too addictive!
You have good taste! I watch almost all of these shows. I’m so excited for the Girlmore Girls reunion. I’m currently rewatching the whole series on Netflix for the 2nd time (and I watched it religiously when it was on air–yes I’m that old). Awesome list!
Thanks! Yay for having the same taste in TV shows. Me too. I have done one rewatch on Netflix but I’m sure there will be more before November. Ah I was only 11 when the series finished so didn’t watch it when it was on air originally. Thanks!
I love PLL and Nashville, and I have no idea why I left them off of my own list this week. I’m really glad Nashville is coming back! I am so excited about the Gilmore Girls revival, and I can’t wait to go back to Stars Hollow. The release date for it is really good timing, since I’ll have a 4-day weekend, and plenty of time to watch it. I’ve seen Sherlock on a lot of lists, but I never seem to get around to actually watching it…which is sad, because there aren’t a lot of episodes, and I have the feeling I could easily watch it in a weekend. I really like your list!
Neither do I! Yup me too, I was so sad when it got cancelled, so I’m really happy it got picked up by a different network! Me too! Ah I wish I had that, but sadly I don’t. Still I reckon me and my flatmates will probably be able to binge over the normal 2 day weekend! Oh you really should, it’s such a great show. Thanks 🙂
Oh yeah, Sherlock! Can’t wait. Should’ve been in my list too, but for the format with such few and long episodes makes it feel less like a TV show and more like a series of movies to me. TBBT and New Girl are also great shows that I follow, so clearly you have very good taste 😉
Yeah it does seem that way sometimes doesn’t it? Yay! Thanks, you clearly have good taste too.
The new season of Sherlock better be incredible, we’ve waited so long for it 😀 http://www.curious-daisy.com/top-ten-tuesday/my-top-8-tv-shows/
Yes it had better be!
I don’t usually watch shows that are currently on air, but I am looking forward to the Gilmore Girls revival! I’m also hoping to watch How To Get Away With Murder one of these days. 🙂
Yes, it should be great! You should, it’s such a great show 🙂
GILMORE GIRLS! Super excited for the revival!! I have been watching the series on Netflix in preparation! 🙂 And I love Once Upon A Time too! Totally consider it my guilty pleasure show. Haha. Great list this week!

Yes me too! Same here, I rewatched the entire thing in a week and a half. Yes, OUAT is great. Thanks 🙂
I can’t wait for GG and Sherlock. Thanks for stopping by our blog.
Yes, so excited for them! No problem.
The Big Bang Theory is so funny and I love Sherlock too – sadly, I couldn’t fit them on my list!
Yes they are great! Ah I know the feeling, 10 sometimes feels like far too small a number.
I am beyond excited for Gilmore Girls, and of course, “Sherlock” is brilliant. If we have to wait this long for that kind of brilliance. I’m totally okay with that. 🙂
Yes me too (if the all caps wasn’t a hint!). Yes, Sherlock is brilliant. I am okay with that too, mostly, but if the brilliance could come a little faster then I would be fine with that too.
The first season of Nashville was great, but I haven’t been able to keep up. I hope the Gilmore Girls revival lives up to everyone’s very high expecations. Have a happy birthday! 🙂
Ah I hope you manage to catch up soon! I hope so too 🙂 Aww thanks! 4 days to go!
I’m also excited for Gilmore Girls! I actually only just finished watching it earlier this week (for the first time) so I’m ready for it to end well this time.
I feel exactly the way you do about New Girl’s season 5.
So excited for HTGAWM and glad that it’s coming back this month and not in October.
JTV! What a finale that was, gaaah.
Ah that’s cool that you just finished it for the first time! Yes, hopefully the revival will give us the ending we deserve! It wasn’t great was it? But the Schmece wedding was so good, so I’m excited for Season 6. YES SAME HERE! The ending was crazy so I need to know what happens next. Ah yes, that finale was great, why does JTV have to be coming back in October, I can’t wait that long!
I love Gilmore Girls and Nashville too! Although, I’m really behind with Nashville – I’ve only seen season 1 so I need to catch up with it.
Yup they are awesome! Oh you definitely should, it’s such a great show 🙂
Yes to the Gilmore Girls Revival! I cannot wait for this! I am also excited for OUaT and New Girl for the fall! Love the list!
I’m just so happy it’s coming back! I never thought it would happen 🙂 Yes, I can’t wait for both those two as well. Thanks 🙂
Happy upcoming 2oth birthday! Oh my gosh I can’t wait for the new Gilmore Girls show. Great picks!
Thank you! Yes, me either. Thanks 🙂
The Big Bang Theory & New Girl! ❤ Great list today. And happy almost birthday! 🙂 Thanks for sharing, and for stopping by my TTT earlier. 🙂
Thanks! No problem 🙂
